Switch On/Off

To Switch On: Press ‘Power’ button and hold for about 3 seconds. An animation appears and your device is ready to use.
To Switch Off: Press ‘Power’ button and hold for about 2 seconds. The screen turns off.

Settings Menu:

Click on ‘Settings’ on the screen to configure your interface.

WiFi: Standard connection, select network
MiFi menu - Mobile Hotspot – Use with SIM card
Mode: Choose between 2 Modes of Work – Automatic or Operation Broadcasting
Click on the 3 dots: 3 options appear: 1. Local Updates – Select languages; 2. Settings - Can be set to update automatically every 1 day, 3 days or 7 days - to update only through WiFi; 3. To exit this menu - Click ‘Exit’
Bluetooth: To turn on/off
Language: Change the language of your device
Offline package management: 12 languages in offline mode - packages must be downloaded from settings to use; Languages available in offline mode: English (US), Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Korean, Japanese, French, Russian, Spanish, Italian, German, Dutch and Portuguese
Display Settings: Adjust brightness and select sleep time for your screen
Date & Time: Configure the date and time displayed on your device
Reset: Click to restore factory settings
Firmware Update: Here the software is updated. Click the ‘Check for updates’ button to determine whether your software is up to date.
Storage: Check available storage space. Your device has 8 GB memory storage
About Us: Check the version and model of your device

AI assistant: Speak and the device translates into Chinese; displayed as a chat

Offline Translation: To use, turn off WiFi, make sure that offline languages are downloaded

Go to translate menu - message “Please prioritise network appears”
Select language – hold the ‘Language’ button, say what you wish to translate, release the button and your device will spell out your statement and translate it
To change language: Press the button and scroll to select
When you press and hold on the statement that you have said, 3 options appear: Add to Favorites / Delete / Clear Conversation

Conference Chat: Make sure that your Date & Time are set in ‘Settings’.

An ID number for your chat appears
Give your ID number to the person you wish to start a conference chat with
Any person with the same device can now join your chat
You can also add more than one member to the chat manually: Type in their unique ID number
When someone joins, a message appears

Recording: Two languages appear – to translate ‘from’ and ‘to’

Photo Translation: Click to open the camera and take a photo of the text you wish to translate.

Input Translation: Select your language, type your text and it is automatically translated and spoken. From & To: English & Chinese.

Language Learning: A menu appears where you choose the two languages you wish to translate from and to.
